Went here in the recommendation of our desk clerk- so glad we did! Service was great -server Mariel? Food was delicious. Terrific fried oysters-yum. A great find!

What a gem! Right off the highway, both the food and service were amazing. Savannah was our server and she was so sweet and pleasant. She made great recommendations and had great conversation with her. We both had smash burgers: I had the GCK and my husband had the Bear. The burgers and fries were perfect! This place 100% worthy of all the great reviews. Go check them out! We will be back next time we are traveling through!

What a hidden gem. The fried catfish was excellent! The breading is light and crispy. The homemade tartar and red sauce was very tasty. I also would give the collard greens two thumbs up as well as the red rice. Legit low country meal.

Always see this place pop up when we are traveling and want to stop for lunch but our timing is never right...today it was!! So many good sounding things and they have a buffet. I decided to go for a smash burger. The GCK burger. Cooked perfectly! Loved the Vidalia onions and aioli. Solid burger. A fresh salad from the buffet and the meal was complete. Deb hat the hot food buffet. She liked everything. I tasted the Brunswick stew. Really good. Service awesome. So friendly. Atmosphere was relaxed and local. Definitely worth all the rave reviews. We will make it a point to stop in again

Just for a bit of background on me; I love taking photos. You catch me in public, chances are I'm getting on my friend's nerves because I refuse to get off my camera app. So, I'm not sure if it's because every time I come here, I'm just too hungry to remember to take any, or if the food is just that good, but I never come here and leave with any photos. The food is always very photogenic, but I always finish everything before even thinking about pulling out my camera. This place is a great spot if you're spending time with friends or family. It has "comfort" in the name, and it definitely holds. Although the wait times vary every time we come, the service is always consistently nice. We go here often, but this place is so good that it fees like It's not often enough. If I had the choice, we'd eat out every week. (My wallet frowned when I wrote that sentence, so let's stop while I'm ahead.)

What can I say this place is really really good. Don't let the buffet throw you off, the menu items are outstanding! Everything I've had here is freshly made, even the buffet is freaking great. The staff are some of the best I've come across and they are always welcoming and friendly. I can't say anything bad about GCK great ambiance, staff and food!!!

Georgia Comfort Kitchen Traveler's Way Portwentworth, GA 1st time here @ this Establishment. The food was very comforting, tasty, and reminiscent of a home cooked meal gathering with those you love. The buffet is just big enough, and the food is just right to satisfy. It's not nor any comparison to chain buffets and other large-scale buffets. Where the food is picked over and it can be a mess. The cooks are 2 chefs I gather and from Vic's On The River now here cooking up tasty fine Ala Carte and Buffet Items. The Brunswick Stew... Well, Sweet Lord, it's Sho Nuff Good! The Fried Chicken... Wowwww! Listen, Y'all! Anit NO Buffet GOT NO fried chicken taste like dis one here! I Approve This Message! I can't even tell you what spices/season they are using. I tell yuh, iffing it's salt and pepper... way @ are they buying that salt and pepper fuh the chicken. Lol! The Pull Pork was very tender, and the BBQ Sauce was PERFECT! I appreciate the Green Beans. They appear very fresh looking and very green, but we're not hard. It's not over season but fresh and just perfect, I'd say. Every day of the week that they are opened, the buffet has some items on another day want. You will e joy this beautiful place. We shall be back. Stopped here while driving from Tampa to Charlotte as a somewhat halfway point (did not want to venture into downtown Savannah). Absolutely lovely staff, very clean venue and amazing food options for the price. They have a daily lunch buffet and you can't beat the $15 price tag on that. Everything is kept tidy and organized. Salad bar is even a steal for $10 all you can enjoy. We really enjoyed the fried cheese bites (cheese curds) for $7 and they have an excellent beer selection. Prices on drinks will also make you happy. Highly recommend if you're looking for some food along I-95 close to Savannah. I'd happily stop here again.

I've visited GCK twice the first time I ordered off the menu and the second time I had the Wednesday evening buffett. We ordered the BBQ totchos (which they no longer have), Fried Green Tomatoes, Shrimp and Grits. O... How could I forget the Peach Cobbler Cornbread? It could be considered a dessert but don't tell! The second time it was for my friends birthday and they were more than accommodating the management and staff were excellent throughout the experience! We had a mixed party some ordered off of the menu and others had the buffet. No complaints with either choice! The young man maintaining the buffett did a super job ensuring everything was fresh and full throughout the evening! The food has been fresh, hot and tasty! The ambiance is very calm and homey! Each time the service is excellent! Give GCK a try!

Newly opened local spot located very close to our hotel. We enjoyed the southern comforts of fried chicken, oysters and flounder. The meals came with sides : we chose grilled broccolini and Mac and cheese. Everything was tasty and very reasonably priced. $3.00 local beer and $ 6.00 vodka and tonic can not be beat. After a long day on the road this proved a great stop!
